As of today, Sorcerer's Place has an integrated news system, which means the separation of front page news & the message boards is now over. From now on, all the news will be posted in the News Comments forum on the message boards, and the latest 20 news items will be automagically transferred to the front page. People will now be able to comment on the news directly on the boards, as well as via Post Comments links in the actual news posts on the front page.

The archives of all news previously posted in the old system will be available at http://www.sorcerers.net/Main/Archives/arc.php

The old news will not be imported into this new system, however, as I really don't see much point in it. Old news is, well, old news, and archives are sufficient.

Since this new system will substantially ease the participation in discussions on the news, I expect to see a lot of activity here. Major thanks go to Catbert for his upgrades and improvements of the basic system.
