Feargus Urquhart has some long answers to three questions about the Neverwinter Nights sequel. Here's a clip:

So someone who hears you're using Aurora again probably has a very different concept from reality.

Yes. I don't know what people think it means. Every time you use an engine, it's an evolution. Sometimes it changes a little, sometimes it changes a lot. When does it become Aurora 2.0? We're not in the position to call it that, because it's not our engine. If it was, I probably would call what we're doing for Neverwinter 2 Aurora 2.0, just because of all the changes we're going to make.

Neverwinter Nights was great because it bridged the worlds of pen-and-paper RPGs and computer RPGs. What did you take out of that, and do you plan to push those aspects forward?

There's this thing that I call the spirit of Neverwinter Nights. It's a great single-player product, it's a great multiplayer product, and it's a great toolset. Those are the things you have to keep. If you lose one of those, it throws the whole balance off. They all reinforce each other.

He talks a lot about the graphical enhancements they are doing to the engine, but after Neverwinter Nights I have my doubts that it will compete with other games released in 2006. Games Domain (http://gamesdomain.yahoo.com/preview/40441) has the rest of the interview.
