Whew. First week after the launch of the new design. To say that it has been eventful is accurate to the point that it is also a vast understatement. Dozens of small and not so small things needed to be fixed after the new design was up. I had to set up a bunch of SPS accounts and create templates for the entire process, as well as start planning & gathering the extra content for SPS account holders. I had to inform the major sites that link to SP to update their links, since nearly all of the urls have changed. Finally, with Catbert's help, we also launched the integrated news posting system, which now connects the message boards and the front page. In short, I've been kept so busy I didn't get around to even planning the next site content update yet. Hopefully things will settle down this week, so I can get started on it soon.

Easier said than done. Now that the new design is up, I have so many things to clear off the to-do list that it's not even funny. Still, we're getting there. And seeing that people appreciate it makes it all worth it.

Yeah, it's great. Maybe it's time to start planning the next upgrade now! :p

Bah. We're one step ahead. Next upgrade has been in planning for months. It really is all a part of a big world domination plan... and my sidescheme to bring panties to the masses, of course.

and my sidescheme to bring panties to the masses, of course Woo Hoo! Do we get to choose our our colours and style? Because I'd like mine to be pink. With some nice frilly lace. But nothing that's going to ride up and/or chafe, of course. :xx:  :rolling: :spin:

:p

Oh yeah, keep up the good work, Tal!

This news section thing is great - will lead to some discussion of the news, rather then the largely ignored and pointless comments thing before.

And uh, yes, this should be in the other thread, but I missed that one - guess I should browse the front page before posting

Go Tal. Know that in ever longer waking periods that you hold our respect and appreciation.

Oh yeah, you too Catbert. ;)

While the design is very nice, it falls apart in the Safari web browser and I assume any web browser based on the same open-source standards-based rendering engine.

I do not know enough to troubleshoot what the problem is, but I surely would appreciate your attention to making the site render as beautifully on all standards-based browsers.

If you would like screen shots, I can send them to you, but as a description, the sidebars both seem to be vertically centered, rather than fixed to the top of the page as they show up in Mozilla.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of making the site render in all modern browsers.

Love,

Hanna

That is due to table support problems, I guess.

Hanna, we've had some discussion on Safari in the thread about the new design ( http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/18/590.html )... Unfortunately, Safari is hardly a good example of a decent modern browser (on top of that, none of us have access to a Mac to be able to test the design on it...). We are looking into this, however, to see if we can do something about it. Please check your PM.
