first is the effect of the boots of speed won't work, cloak of baldarian but then I used some patch? I forgot, and it workd fine, are there any other benefits you lose because of a simliar effect like this? then I downloaded some modsand bam! they stopped workin, so then I re downloaded the thing that I THINK? fixed it.... but it didn't sigh...

also wheere can I find the extened twisted rune quest?

Huh? I'm not sure I understand your questions. The boots of speed wont work if your playing monk..

1)boots of speed won't work if you are monk, or hasted.
2)delete the mods. but I don't remember any cloak of balduran...

I am not a monk, it it a glitch in the game where the magic resitance of an iitem won't give you the benefits of boots of speed, yah I downloaded that one thing where you can transfer over your items from bg1, after all that work you would think irenicus would keep all those incredibily powrful items somewhere wouldn't you?

also why does my pure fighter try to hide in the bloody shadows all the time???

Maybe you are using the free action ring? IIRC the ring will cancel out the boots, or vice verse (not sure about this but I think it's so).

I can't make him try to hide because there is no button, hes a fighter... man this sucks I can't get any further without edwin annd when I am rushing to a battle my MAIN MAN trys to hide. when that happens he stops completley in his tracks.... that makes im SO useful.... :rolleyes: :mad: :eek: :confused:

Hmm, boots of speed and free action ring or Kheldon's armor are working perfectly well with each other for my game.

I guess his problem is the mod. There's not many possibility that would dirupt effects of items or scrpits.

ok the edwin problem was becausethere was a really weird glitch where the computer didn't recognize I did the quest first wuest with the amulet being done, because when I retalked to ma var, he told me about the first mission again.


probably because I didn't save or something so when I reloaded it just was at the part where I left out in the first part of ma var.

although the second part is a total mystery to me, about my guy trying to hide in shadows...?

Check what script you have assigned to him. That might be the problem.

You can begin the "Twisted Rune quest by opening a door in the far bottom of the Bridge District. You can only open this door if you have Rouge stone. This is a really difficult fight but the rewards are excellent. If you have trouble with the fight do a search of the boards - there will be many helpful topics.

i use them together and i'm hasted so i dont think problem is that. about hide in shadows message like 8people i think it is because of your script
