As I've promised earlier this week, here is some more information on the upcoming SP downtime.
In the evening tomorrow (Sunday 6th, GMT) I'm going to close down the message boards (which also means no new front page news after that point) and archive them for transfer to the new system. I recommend you use our chatroom (http://www.sorcerers.net/Community/IRC/index.php) in this interval of forum downtime.
The rest of the site will function normally up to the point the new system goes online. This should happen within 24 hours of the boards going down.
At that point, the new system will be completely blank, and SP and all our hosted sites will need to be set up anew. This means all the configuration, as well as transferring all the files back on the site will need to be performed. This will take another few hours.
All in all, I expect the whole transition to be complete by Tuesday (7th) if everything goes according to plan. If not, notices will be posted on the front page of SP, if possible.
