The guys at Dungeons & Dragons Warcry have had a little chat with the developers of Dungeons and Dragons Online, and here's an excerpt from the preview they've written:
The people at Turbine are all self-professed gaming geeks and actually have a an ongoing D&D game running once a week at their office so they can better understand the 3.5 rules as well as Eberron. Six months of development were spent just on deciding how combat would work and Turbine says the gameplay will be very different from that of other MMORPGs. They focused on how they could merge action with the depth of the D&D ruleset.
