Worldwide D&D Game Day is on October 16. Here's what they say on the Wizards of the Coast site:

Is your nearby hobby or game store participating in Worldwide D&D Game Day? Probably -- over 1,000 stores have already signed on with Wizards of the Coast to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons the best way possible -- by playing Dungeons & Dragons with their customers. In case you didn't know, Worldwide D&D Game Day is this October 16th. Wizards of the Coast staff will be traveling to stores in Atlanta, Minneapolis, and other cities to help out.

Ah, this explains why I didn't know about it. There was probably some action on our national toy fair, but I was too busy with the Lotr TCG tourney to notice it. Well, that's only a hypothesis, since I didn't really see much promotion or stuff around D&D. Maybe they just didn't bother with our small country :( .
