How do you get a Cleric dual ranger to work. I have tried but it doesnt seem to work. DO you start with a cleric or ranger. Help!

you cannot dual a cleric to a ranger or the other way around. you can have a multi-class cleric/ranger instead. that means you have to choose a non-human race, and not all non-human race can have this class.

If you want to dual a ranger to a cleric, you will get the druid spells which are available at that moment. For example Ranger at level 9 can cast first level druid spells, and the cleric at level 10 will regain the ranger abilities but can cast only the first level druid spells. And it stucks there... I would recomend you a half-elf multi class ranger/cleric. Incredible AC, good THAC0.
I would place 2 stars in fail, slings, and sword and shiled style, later put the stars to hammer. You can get the Flail of Ages and some good slings for the ranged attack, at the begining of the game, later the Crom is quite good...

Ugh, nior - you can dual Cleric/Ranger i both ways.. It is possibgle, though the multi-class is much, much better.

Indeed: every valid multiclass combo can also be a dualclass combination, including the ranger cleric. And I agree with Speznaz, the multiclass version is much better, especially when you want to go for the expansion.
