Turbine have announced Turbine Nation 2004. It's going to take place at Rhode Island Convention Center and the tickets are already available for purchase. Dungeons and Dragons Online will also be discussed. Here's a snip:

Many of Turbine's fans assume that all developers are cool h4x0rs who wear stylish leather jackets and fly to work using jetpacks. But in fact, the majority of us are simply hard-core fantasy, science-fiction, and gaming geeks who love what we do – making some of the hottest MMORPGs in the world.

There's also a related interview with Turbine and Keith Baker at Stratics. Here you have an excerpt:

Keith Baker: Hi, I'm Keith Baker. I've been playing D&D for 25 years approximately. I've been doing freelance game design for about 11 years - just little odds and ends. Then I spent 8 years in computer games and working on MMO games with a company called VR-1. Unfortunately, for various reasons, nothing ever came out of that. But, it's certainly a subject I've always been interested in and done some work on myself.

I left VR-1 in 2002, because I wasn't accomplishing what I wanted and began focusing exclusively on freelance game writing. That's when Wizards of the Coast did their open fantasy setting search and when Eberron came to be. Needless to say, I'm excited with Eberron in general and very excited to see a Massively Multi-Player Game coming out in the world. And, I'm thrilled with what Turbine is doing.
