I lent my BG2 and Tob cd's to a friend, who has now (finally) returned them. Now when i come to reinstall the game this is what i do:

Insert CD. Click Install. "install shiled..." fills up. Then when it should go to the next screen i get this error:

"Error Number 0x80070725
Description: Incompatible version of the RPC stub.

Setup will now terminate."

Can anyone tell me if this is because, as i suspect, my friend scratched the cd, or some other reason? :help:

You'll check it easily if it's scratched: just try to copy it whole on your hard drive. ;)

Ah thanks, i will try that when i'm back at my normal computer (on sunday).
