37% have played the early ones eh? It seems like less than that around here.

I'm pretty much the reverse of this poll; I haven't played any D&D games after Baldur's Gate but I've played a whole lot of the them before.

Actually, 60% of the people who voted have played at least one... that's quite surprising.

Add another one to the stats!! I did not vote on this poll but I did play all those Gold Box games. In fact, I think I still have them all in the basement. I just can't get rid of them, even if I never play them again. Did we have a lot of fun playing those games!!!

I even found in my old stuff what must have been the first licensed D&D video game. It played on the Intellivision console and was simply called "Dungeons & Dragons". It had mountains you had to get into where snakes and 2 other monsters (can't remember which) could be found and had to be killed. The snakes were nasty as hell as they were very fast and tough to kill. That brought me down the memory lane way back there!!

I'm probably in the minority here, but I played 3-4 of the old gold box games and I play NWN, but nothing in between. No IWD, no Baldur's Gate, none of that 2nd Edition stuff for me. :)
