i tried to beat the guys but they killed everybody. i have two good fighters, a druid and a rogue (tiefling).

Which guardians are you talking about?

two tough guys that spawn when you near the door that one must step on an area to automatically open, near the entrance/exit of the betrayers tombs.
anyway i managed to dispatch the guys

Yeah, they're definitely beatable. I had to kill like 8 of them before I figured out how to get to the room beyond. Then, after all that effort, I think I found like 12 gold in the chest!! And that was it!!
