In Act II, after killing Black Garius and ending the ritual, you're supposed to leave the Keep with Vale. In the cutscene that follows you have the four blue-flamey head guys spawn from the burning corpses, and then the cutscene ends and returns to a loading screen. As the game is loading the next section it shuts down and I get the usual 'Neverwinter Nights 2 has encountered a problem and needs to close, blah blah' error message that is oh so common in Windows. And of course it gives me no adequate description of the problem other than saying this file: E:\DOCUME~1\ADAM~1.KIL\LOCALS~1\Temp\c849_appcompa t.txt
is involved in the error. Anybody have any idea? Or is the game officially dead and I can't complete it on this machine? I don't know how to fix it, as the cause of the error is terribly nondescript, other than the registry file, but I don't know whether to delete it or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Tried reinstalling video drivers and updating direct X, still didn't work.
