I generally like this game a lot, but one issue is a major pain in the behind.
Inventory management is awful in itself, especially when those magical bags get filled up with everything but the kitchen sink and weighing a ton, but when combined with selling off things to shops after a raid, (or stocking up on new things), it becomes THE PAIN - not only in the behind but also in my tendons. An average shopping trip takes about a million clicks!
First there is the tedious task of scrolling down and picking (by doubleclicking) the items out of the magic bags ONE BY ONE to get them back into the inventory for sale. Then, it only lets me sell ONE thing at a time - and having to click three times for each sale! First doubleclick to mark it for sale, and then one more click at that "are you sure you want to sell" screen! GAH! :flaming: A few more rounds of this, and I'll be getting tendinitis!
Why couldn't they implement such a simple feature as allowing us to pick more than one thing at a time by holding SHIFT down or something equally simple, and then simply choose the Sell option ONCE when we're done? The same goes for buying things - like having to buy healing potions one by one, when I need to refill everbody's inventories. It takes forever! Even when buying arrows in stacks of 99, why can't a simple right-click allow us to choose the amounts of stacks (or healing potions) we want, and then buy them all with one click, instead of spending 30 minutes clicking?
Having just finished playing Icewind Dale 1 + 2, where buying and selling was a piece of cake, the shopping in NWN 2 is driving me mad - and every shopping trip brings me closer to needing cortisone shots. :bad:
(PS: My game is of course purchased legally and not a pirated copy, so this rant has nothing to do with the copy protection issue.)
