Creating DnD character builds is something of a hobby of mine and my current DnD CRPG is NWN2, so thats what I'm currently working with. I came up with a couple recently and am posting em for discussion purposes (I've posted these on a different forum but Sorcerer's Place generally has better people :p ).


Oriental Mystic Warrior or Ninjutsu Master
===============================

You know what they are. Something of a fairy-tale cross between a Samurai and a Ninja. Masters of weapons and battle, very skilled and are able to use ninjutsu-type attacks to create effects such as false clones, invisibility, distractions and the like.

*Choice between Elemental Shield, Isaac's Lesser Missile Storm, Lesser Spell Breach or Stoneskin (Personally I'm torn between Lesser Missile Storm and Lesser Spell Breach).
**Lesser Planar Binding, Summon Creater V or anything you like really, not many useful spells here and I thought a summoning spell would go well with the idea of the character (I prefer Lesser Planar Binding myself).

The UMD of 15 will allow you to wear the Eldritch Knight Chain (0% spell failure).
At lvl20 you will have 4d6 sneak attack and a high Bluff + Feint will make use of that, as well as your 1x/day Impromptu Sneak Attack. You will also end up with 3 attacks/round.
I think this build will be quite neat to play/RP though I don't know how useful it would be, but it seems strong enough.


True Arcane Archer

I like the arcane and I like archers but I hate the Arcane Archer pristege class. NWN or PnP, it dosn't matter, its just a bad class. So, this character was created with the idea of an arcane archer, that isn't an Arcane Archer :p

This character ends with level 9 spells, full caster level and the full four BAB attacks/round.
It also has all the archery feats, some longbow enhancement feats and some useful metamagic feats.
Eat your heart out Arcane Archer :p


Well those are the two that I've come up with in recent memory, any ideas/suggestions/questions on the builds are welcome. :D

For any build leading to arcane trickster, I'm thinking of using harper agent for the spellcasting prerequisite when I can spare the feats. While it loses 1 casting level in the start, the extra skill points and abilities - and the slightly better BAB - make it imo a much better choice than continuing in wizard or sorcerer.

Also, wouldn't an archer benefit from having higher strength for the composite / mighty bows?

Ah.. I can't stand Harper classes, require too much and offer fluff in return :p
Also there would be no room for it in my above build for two reasons; first its already at the max multi-class limit of 4, and second its already at the absolute minimum Sorcerer level required for Arcane Trickster anyway :)

And yes.. some STR for composite bows might be a good idea, hmm..
