I just installed MotB and I got to keep all my equipped items, except for my Warmace. Is that the way it should be? It feels kinda sad to loose a fully enchanted cold iron +5 Warmace. I'm a Cleric/Warpriest, so it feels wierd to be running around with a Short Sword +3 instead :o

from what i understand, you lose all inventory but equipped items remain

however, if you remember the end of nwn2 O/C,you have to use the crystal sword as a weapon
so i guess if you reequip your weapon after you use the crystal, but before the game ends, you will have it on person in the xp pac

anyway, i've deleted my old character with the game a few months ago, so i'm starting MOTB With a completely new one

PS: First, very first impressions Changes in Camera handling ... I don't know, I guess I'll have to get used to it. In my char sheet I can't find my combat feats and class feats listed. Game crashed after talking to that Red Wizard of Thay. xUI doesn't work anymore. Guess I have to re-install it. The new Genasi races look cool, but offer little but more variety - they are certainly not as overpowered as the Drow. Iirc the wild elf is new as well. Same for that I guess. Of course, the new classes. Interesting, especially the favoured soul. I don't much care about shamans and the like. New wizard prestige classes - what about a necromancer, pale master, Red Wizard of Thay and Scholar of Candlekeep? Got to think that through. Part of the German manual's feat table is in Spanish :rolleyes:The game has a lot of potential.

i have to agree, lots of changes in the options, but i was still able to set things exactly the same as they were in 1.04 (i control camera with the keyboard, and characters with the mouse : which is now called "strategic mode")

as for xui, i don't think you really need it since extra menus are already included ?

no other problem(s) so far, except in the original OC, which forced me to reinstall

My feat problem disappeared after a re-install of the entire game. The crash was due to xUI being incompatible with MoTB.

Game plays well, except that sadly with the new game my two favourite weapons got lost, and what I found and have been able to create thus far is just crap. Story is ok, and the companions interesting.

I'm picking it up this afternoon, along with the HL2 Orange Box. I need a good review in 3 hours or I carry out my threat to buy it.

@Ragusa and anyone else struggling with the camera issue

I find that going into "Strategic Mode" options and changing the setting so that the camera always centers directly on your character makes things run just like they did pre-MotB.
