I'm stuck in Chapter5 with a bug and it's making me insane. I'd welcome any help..

I'm in chapter5, sailing merrily in the boat but then it sinks and I cannot see my characters. Yet, the game is not ended, monsters keep coming but I have no idea who I'm fighting with or where my characters are. I think it is a bug, and I don't know how to get rid off it.

Do you have the official patch installed? I think that was one of the bugs it's supposed to fix.
