i am having a terrible time with the spider queen. no matter what i do someone in my party dies. zhai and rannik run out of ammo, illius gets killed... i am frustrated, can someone help me?

Maybe, it's a long time since i've played this game now though, so also, maybe not.

I suppose you'll have to refresh my memory a little first I'm afraid, is this when you are on that boat?

Anyway, you can go back to a previous map unless i'm mistaken, and get some more experience there before giving it another shot.

thanks! yes, you are thinking of the right place. the raft. do i keep the experience i gained from the earlier part of that chapter, or do i need t go back to the previous one?

Hmm.. As far as i can remember i just fired as many maximally charged Magic Missiles with Illius as possible whenever the chance came, and that spider fell rather rapidly. Zhai and Rannek took care of most enemies that came unto the raft for me.
Hope that helps at least a little!

I'm not sure if you keep the EXP though, you possibly loose it, but you'll get it back when you return and do the map again though!
