I'm pretty confused about what has been reported on the combat system here.

If I'm strafing, dodging and blocking with my shield am I also swinging the sword with a click? Where do the dice rolls come in???

Is this game twitch based or stats based???

Regardless of miss or hit as determined by the dice, you will still "hit" the enemy. If missed, you just don't do any damage.
