I think that's from the scrapyard of the Jefferson Project. The Jefferson project meaning the original intentions for BG3 by Bioware. Unfortunately, that brilliant genius of our times, Herve Caene, sabotaged the whole thing as part of Interplay's move into the console gaming industry.

Somehow the dog in the opening cinematic of IWD2 was also meant to be a plot launcher for BG3/Jefferson.
