What the next Baulder's gate needs is a way for us to be able to manipulate the levels after we've beaten the game.
Even better! Give us a way to design our own levels. We can then submit them in and the best are chosen and released in a companion disk.

Do you mean like in NWN where the main campaign could be edited (regardless of whether you'd beaten the game)? Although in the case of NWN it was sold as being able to make you own levels/campaigns/worlds etc. If such a feature were to be included in BG3 then my feeling is that it would be limited and not worth the time spent to put it in. On the other hand unoffical fan made editing tools are likely to be made for it so perhaps we will be able to edit the levels.

I think the idea of an editor for the game is a good idea, but it should be locked until you beat the game at least once, and more options should unlock for getting different endings, maybe.

How about a site to download changes to the world that other players may have done and see how it reacts to your world. Or have it so you need at least 2 players playing at once to actually effect the game world enviroment.

I'm not sure if I'd like it to come with a toolset. I'd rather get a really good single player campaign instead. For toolset fun we have NWN. I don't believe it's a good thing for the last part of a saga to become a modding hit, NWN-style. BG1 wasn't such, neither was BG2... BG3 had better stay the same way. Though I surely don't mind them making it easier for modders this time.
