Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault (http://nwvault.ign.com) from Obsidian Forums (http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showforum=21). Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

Request that NWN2 use same NWScript language ('http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=4399&hl=')
<hr />Thse are not constants like I meant smile.gif when I speak constant, I speak about preprocessing. (#define A(b,c), etc) and more : this is declared in memory where I don't need the constants to be decalred in memory.<hr />Those aren't really constants, though, they're preprocessor defines. Very different things.
Will characters look like Lego figures? ('http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=2478&hl=')
I think it's safe to say that characters will be significantly improved.
Bound by TNT2 ('http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=4955&hl=')
<hr />I read in one of these posts that NWN was tied to the TNT2 technology. Is this still the case with the Aurora engine or will NWN2 beable to unshakel itself?<hr />NWN2 will be a DX9 game, and the TNT2 doesn't support the enhanced features of DX9...so, no, we're not aiming at that class of hardware.

Question for devs on henchmen mechanics ('http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=5109=')
<hr />Would it be possible to create a menu option that toggles a simple point and click function that would allow players to select a henchman and click on the ground or a creature to issue a "move here" or "attack this target" command? It seems to me this would be both technically feasible and would solve some of the henchman/full party issues without disappointing anyone. Can it be done?<hr />Companion mechanics are being revisited and we'll be making some adjustments to the interface as well as AI.

<hr />Let's just hope characters don't have triangle arms and block hands.<hr />The Lego-look is soooo 2002, we look forward to bringing NWN and its fans into the Playmobile era.
