Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault (http://nwvault.ign.com). Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

WinXP SP2 (http://nwn.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=375480&post=3092189&forum=42&highlight=)

I have seen a rather dated post on this subject in this forum (from mid-July). I would like to hear Bioware's assessment of WinXP SP2 with respect to multiplayer connectivity and overall game functionality. Not to be alarmist, but there are a lot of applications, notably multiplayer games, which 'behave differently' according to Microsoft postings (largely due to firewall implementation). KotOR happens to be one of these, even though it is not multiplayer-functional.
From what I have seen, I think I want to keep the Microsoft Firewall active, but still play multiplayer NWN. I think it would be very helpful if Bioware (or the community) can provide a sticky with directions/advice for all WinXP users.
NWN and SP2 work fine together, I've been running the beta for quite a while. The first time you start NWN after SP2 has been installed you will asked if you want to allow network connectivity for the game. You need to press "yes" there in order to make sure that the Windows Firewall is allowing NWN to accept inbound connections.
