CD-Key Registration ('http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=18225&hl=')
Actually a lot of companies, including Bioware for Neverwinter (I'm pretty sure), have Gamespy create all the CD-Keys for their games. It costs some money, but it's pretty insignificant compared to the cost of the development and marketing of the game.

Icewind Dale 3 ('http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=13486&hl=')
I wouldn't mind making an Icewind Dale 3. Atari would have to want the product though and I'm not sure if they are interested in continuing that brand. I should ask though, since I haven't yet. Having said that, I would like us, Obsidian, to create our own world soon as well. I would bet that would come before us doing an Icewind Dale 3.

Foundings ('http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=18817&hl=')
Let me see if I remember the chain of events. I first talked with Simon Jeffrey, the President of LucasArts at the time, about the possibility of doing the product in late April of last year. We met at E3 to talk about the budget and some of our initial thoughts about doing it. Most of the owners and a couple of other people had quit Interplay by June and we were working out of my Attic - that was a lot fun particularly when the A/C couldn't keep up with us. It was during June and July that we came up with the story, characters and the planets we were going to use. In about the third week of August the contract got signed, three guys from Bioware came down to show us how the engine worked for a few days and then we moved into our office space. We've been off at the races ever since.

Cutscene Editor Suggestion ('http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=18504&hl=')
Cutscene tools are going to be vastly improved...

NWScript Editor non-modal ('http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=17585&hl=')
eah, we know how annoying this is. We're looking at changing this where possible/appropriate.
