When the patches for the premium modules are finished.... (http://nwn.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=401169&post=3382746&forum=86&highlight=)

Yes, you will have to download the entire *.exe or *.zip again. Due to the nature of the encryption process, there's no easy way to synch up with our existing delta-based patching system.

You guys encrypted all the custom content? The module itself I can understand, but...
Not entirely true, but the original statement is true, such that we don't have a simple way to patch the modules with our existing systems and even if we did, there wouldn't be much saving in size.

Premium Module Sale - A Good Idea? (http://nwn.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=408650&post=3382723&forum=86&highlight=)

We're currently in a scheduled research phase where we're experimenting with different ways to drive sales beyond the initial spike.
*snip*...next up ought to be the 1.1 patch release.
Err... so patching is just a marketing scheme?
Down to the lowest level everything is about sales. After all, we are not a charity. Good support (and that includes patches) is good for sales as people know that we care for our products after release and makes them more likely to buy from us again. The customer wins as he/she gets support and service, we win because the customers come back. Is that so hard to understand?

More:
I would of gladly paid another $50 for another expansion, content only, no OC. You couldn't PAY ME to download those modules. What the community does with more content/functionality is galactically more impressive then what the Bioware team can do with a module. Not saying Bioware modules are bad but they are competing with 10,000 other modules, worlds, alternative styles of play. I really wish Bioware or hopefully Obsidian will have more faith in the community bringing out far superior content and just concentrate on developing a more robust engine/toolset to work with.
Custom content for pay would split the community. We don't want that.

More:
Therefore, my question is what is the point of this sale. To get new recruits?
Of course. Why else would you make a sale?

CEP Weapon Question... (http://nwn.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=408897&post=3383545&forum=83&highlight=)

Well then you suck.
No. Different opinions are part of a free discussion culture and they don't suck - people that don't understand this concept however usually do. Anyway, please consider this a warning and reminder to reread the forum rules you accepted when creating your account. I will not post another warning about this. For the originally discussed matter - CEP is doing far more that we ever envisioned would be done in terms of rules changes to NWN. They can not create these feats as they do not have access to the game code.
