Yeah, we are definitely trying to make it easier to preview and otherwise get the toolset to more accurately reflect what you'll see in the game. It saves us time and headaches too. BTW, you shouldn't be asking BW about this kind of stuff for NWN2, you should be asking us Obsidian peeps.

You can move palettes/docked windows around now, including onto any additional monitors you may have.

Less or NO loading screens. Man, THAT would rule. Too much work involved though, I fear.
A continuous world is not going to happen. That would literally require rewriting the game from the ground up, which is not in the cards. Continuous-world gameplay is not a trivial undertaking. Here's a great article that I linked before, on the Obsidian boards, detailing some of the challenges in making a continuous world game (Dungeon Siege). Graphic Cards (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=407991&post=3388523&forum=95&highlight=)
I dont really know a thing about the 8500... what its capabilities are, if its dx9 compatible, etc, etc... But I do know that Doom 3 uses OpenGL for its graphics, and therefore, while the 8500 may not be Dx9 compatible (from a Direct3D point of view), it *may* be OpenGL 1.3 compatible and perfectly happy to run Doom 3.

However in our case we are acutally using the Direct3D component of DX9 and I'd have to say that the chances of getting NWN2 to run on non-DX9 compliant video card pretty much zero.

You'll be glad to hear then, that the tool set uses the *exact* same renderer as the game. Pretty much what you see is what you'll get. Correct me if I'm wrong Erik.
