Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault (http://nwvault.ign.com) from Obsidian Forums (http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showforum=21). Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

<hr />I wonder will this include the ability to place a light source without having an object (such as a torch) associated with it? I.e objects that ARE light sources? This would allow for great creativity in terms of things like light coming in through a window etc..<hr />Yes, you'll be able to place a light source where ever you want. Lights will be "placeables" just like everything else. If you want a light hanging in mid-air with no visible objects around to serve as possible sources of light...have at it. It might look goofy, but you can do it.
More: <hr />That's actually incredibly handy. There are times when I'd like to backlight a cutscene or create certain shadows for ambiance. Thanks for the heads-up.<hr />It certainly does have its practicle side in terms of various uses and as you've mention you can do things just as that, place lights for ambience etc. Although, I should note that we also have an awesome new ambient lighting model too.
Possible ways for Tileset Conversion from NWN to NWN2 (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=412292&post=3417885&forum=100&highlight=)
<hr />Well, I'm not sure if you can answer, but I'll give it a shot? When you say you can't reuse tileset data, does that mean the tileset information in the area file? Or does it mean that creating normal mapped geometry in preparation for the game isn't worth doing?<hr />Both. It's not that it's not worth creating normal mapped data...it's just that it's not worth creating normal mapped data based off the original tile sets. And it's definitely not worth creating new NWN1 tiles with the hopes of being able to use them in NWN2.
More: <hr />Correct me if I'm wrong, but while making actual TILES might be an effort wasted, but making for tile ELEMENTS might not. If you want to be prepared, don't model a house tile. Model a normal-mapped house that can be put into use as a part of a tile when more details of the system surface.<hr />To be honest, I think that's probably the safest bet at this point.

I think you alrwady can cahnge the camera angle with the mouse. If you have a middle mouse button, try clicking and holding it, and then moving the mouse.

This could be a bug within NWN. The engine for NWN2 is being rewritten, so I doubt you'll encounter the same problem.
