View Full Version : Nalia - Does anything happen after her rescue?
Blackhawk Mon, 12th May '03, 9:56pm Hello everyone,
I have a quick question. After you gather the proper evidence and rescue Nalia from the Roenels, does anything else happen? Is her story at an end?
Spelladonna Tue, 13th May '03, 2:01pm Nope - she's done, which is ironic because after you free her, Iseah (I know the spelling is wrong, but you know who I mean) says something to the effect of "This is not over" when in reality it is.
I still say there should have been another quest to go after his lying and conniving a** and do mankind a favor by destroying him. Makes my skin crawl.... filthy slaver that he is.
corbulo87 Tue, 13th May '03, 2:03pm I think yes. At least that's my experience.
Iago Tue, 13th May '03, 2:22pm When you're fighter and take the castle of Nalia, then you encounter Roenel's daddy. But the Nalia story does not continue, except in the epilogue of TOB. I always thought that's confusing, because for the story, it's one of the best "NPC-side-stories". And like Jan's story, it has not a real closing.
Blackhawk Tue, 13th May '03, 8:26pm Thank you all. In that case, I'll leave poor Nalia at the Copper Coronet.
BTW, wouldn't had made more sense (at least made her more useful) if she was an Archer?
Blog Tue, 13th May '03, 8:53pm Well, she does come with a short bow and arrows and is proficient in short bow :D
I have a sort-of-related question: If you clear DeArnisse Keep but don't take the fighter stronghold and keep Nalia in the party, do you still get all her quests?
Spelladonna Tue, 13th May '03, 9:37pm If by quests, you mean going to her father's funeral and her being kidnapped -- yes, you do. Other than that, you get nothing.
Nalia does well with short bows (Tuigan Bow especially) without being an archer. Equip her w/ the bracers of archery and you're set. Toss in the occasional improved haste and look out! Course now that I think about it -- just how good would she be if she were an archer with those bracers too. :hmm:
Blog Wed, 14th May '03, 4:39am Thanks Spelladonna! Unlike Blackhawk, I'm going to take Nalia with me this time through the game. :)
Spelladonna Wed, 14th May '03, 3:08pm Used with a bit of ingenuity, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at just how good she is as she moves up in levels. Remember that she is only adequate as a thief, so you may want to invest in potions to boost those skills. Other than that, let the arrows and spells fly! :D
chevalier Thu, 15th May '03, 4:00pm She's more or less the second Imoen. I'm always having her in my party. Just think: three arcane casters without making the team melee-vulnerable too much :D As for thief weapon restriction, it's not really worse than if she had fighter levels instead - you're still able to wield katanas and what else do you really need for her? :D
