Speedtree & the toolset (from news article) Question (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=473754&post=4034281&forum=99&highlight=)
You can place trees in the toolset just like any other object. You can also specify a seed value for each tree...which will in turn, make that tree unique. However, like anything else, I'll tell you here and now that all of this stuff is to be used judiciously.

Can you drop down 100+ unique trees? Sure. Can you do that and expect to run at an acceptable frame rate? Probably not. A tree is just like most any other object in the game with an additional bit of overhead associated with the leaves and wind calculations etc.

To be clear, it's not just trees. Levels in general have a limit on the number of placed objects (which depends on your hardware) which when surpassed, will really start to degrade your performance. It's to be expected and cannot be avoided. Who are we to stop you from dropping 100+ beds in the middle of a wheat field? Exactly...

You guys can do what you want, but just be realistic with the expectations when it comes to creating things like "dense" forrests etc. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Custom Content & Resources for NWN2.com (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=473860&post=4034880&forum=95&highlight=)
Hey Folks,

As many of you know I previously requested submissions for fan sites and persistent worlds to be listed on nwn2.com. Those submissions have been steadily rolling in.

Also, as many of you know the website went up, then went back down for some more tweaking and edits. Yes, we know that's a bit frusterating. However. one good thing that did come out of it was my getting some great feedback on using the community section as a more applicable community resource. What I've done based on the community feedback is remove "International" as a category in and of itself. Those sites have been moved into their respective categories with a language "tag".

The third category on nwn2.com will now be labeled "Custom Content Creation & Resources". This sub-section will cover any site that does or includes the following: Custom Content, Matchmaking, or database related sites (eg:NWN2Wiki).

So at this time Im requesting any sites that fall into those categories send in your info to nwn2@maverickpr.net

Again, thanks for your patience with this and thanks for your support.
