Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault (http://nwvault.ign.com). Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

Water! Ripples of texture or of context?! (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=474203&post=4039191&forum=95&highlight=)
<hr />This is a very old thread (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=432258&forum=99), so take with a grain of salt, but here's what Brian once said:
<hr />I wouldn't go so far as to say it's wildly different...i.e. something with mass etc. But, I can tell you it's more than just a flat plane with some scrolling normal maps. Not that that looks bad (because it doesn't), I just think ours looks better. But that's just a matter of opinion and of course I'm biased. <hr /><hr />Yeah, that's a pretty old post/quote alright. And I had implemented that very water about ayear ago believe it or not. However, I got pulled away from it until about last week. I rewrote it and due to time constraints that description no longer applies.
However, I took some time to throw in some pretty cool features in terms of hopefully allowing the end user to tweak and customize water. Adam is currently hooking all of that up to the toolset (exposing those tweakable parameters) as we speak. I think it's going to work out very nicely. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif
There will be no water physics.
