Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault (http://nwvault.ign.com). Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Will my Graphics Card run NWN2, or, texture ram showdown! 128 vs 256 vs 512 (take 2) (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=471864&post=4045649&forum=99&highlight=)
<hr />Come on Brian, throw us a bone http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif<hr />I would if I could. However, I can tell you what I run/develop the game on at work.
P4 3.8 GHz
2GB ram
7800GT 256MB and X1900XTX 512MB
So far these cards run the game at max graphics settings fine. However, I'm sure the next round of cards, and possibly even the new 7900GTX will run even better. However, I what I really mean is the "real" next generation of cards (7900GTX is more of an extension of this gen), which I suppose will be coming out later this year...at least for NVidia?
Also, I'm sure an AMD CPU with comparable speed will also be just fine. I believe we're testing some in house and I haven't heard of any issues.
More: <hr />next generation, as in those cards that will utilize shader model 4.0?<hr />Yes. However, shader model 4.0 aside (because we obviously can't be supporting it) those cards will have the horsepower to push a LOT more pixels.

<hr />Here, I will start. Obsidian / Atari / Developer responsible with budget, please include the following animations:
(NWN2 OC)
Single Character Emotes
- point at [object] with hand
- laugh out loud with head thrown back
- giggle with hand lifted to face
- cry with head leaned forward
- cheer with fist raised to the sky / ceiling
- applaud with clapping and raising hand to face to whistle
- crouched working on [object] with both hands<hr />We have all these or very close analogues.
<hr />Quote: Combat
- forward kick
- straight jab punch
- dodge by side stepping
- dodge by ducking<hr />These too.
<hr />Quote: (Patch or Expansion)
Combat
- move five feet by hop<hr />There is a jump back animation. I think it's about 5 ft. or 2m.
We also have a roundhouse, inside-outside punch, hook kick, and (I think) spinning hook kick. Regular folks get four unarmed attacks (two to start and two more at +5 and +10 BAB) and monks/people with Improved Unarmed Strike get a different set of four attacks (look fancier).
max hp option? toggle AoO? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=474355&post=4046367&forum=95&highlight=)
<hr />Because it makes disrupting casting a lot easier. It's reactive instead of proactive. Make sense?<hr />If an archer readies against spellcasting and the caster then chooses to do something else, that's also reactive. I'd argue it's harder to abuse NWN's real-time because the player has to actually recognize the threat and deal with it in a pretty short amount of time.
