Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault (http://nwvault.ign.com). Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

OnCastAt for placeables bugged? Confirm prior to bug report :) (http://nwn.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=474986&post=4050192&forum=47&highlight=)
No, this has nothing to do with crafting. Crafting uses the TargetType setting in spells.2da (0x08 = items) to define whether or not items can be targeted.
Most AoE damage spells support use against doors and placeables.
Spells like Missile Storm don't have support for placeables because of they way they work - we do not want the spell to distribute it's missiles against all kinds of objects in the environment, making it useless. Rather unfunny to storm the crypt of a lich, cast missile storm and watch it take out his furniture...
Mass blind, etc probably either affect placeables because who ever created the spellscript copied and pasted the code from another spell, or because there is some situation in an official module or campaign that requires placeables to detect the specific spell
