Context sensitive menus = great news. Will they be opaque (as in can't see through them) or translucent (somewhat able to see beneath them to game screen area?)
Opaque, but they are pretty small. The icons are 32x32, so even a stack of 10 only takes up about ~32x350 (for spacing) of screen space.

Quote: Can we have the quick bars set up to "Stay" at the edge of the screen, meaning can we place them along the sides and top as well as the bottom?
No, but shift or control (can't remember which) + 1 through = will switch to another quickbar.

Quote: When you say context sensitive menus appear, does that mean that, when you are talking to an NPC townsperson, that it would give you options to emote, or when you met another PC in MP? And of course, the truly evil character would still wish to have the ability to enter combat on the poor, unsuspecting wretch. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_evillol.gif
Yes.

Quote: I would also like to know, lastly, if the AoE spells would pop up in these context sensitive clicks when using them to say, pre-emptively strike down a group of baddies you have discovered laying in wait for you before they have discovered they have been discovered by you?
No. Spellcasting would always be slower through a branching menu than through the quick cast menu. One click or button press brings up quick cast, another click selects the spell, a third click targets. Alternately one click targets and a click on a quickbar slot casts. There are already three ways to cast spells in the game (quickbar, quick cast, spellbook). I didn't think we needed a fourth.

More:
Ah, first time I've heard real numbers. Is that the general size for icons in NWN2? For example, will inventory items be that size?
Let me clarify. Icons are created at 64x64 and can be as small as 32x32. At low resolutions, players will typically want to use the smaller icons so they can, you know, see stuff.
