Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault (http://nwvault.ign.com). Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

<hr />You should fire whoever decied to get rid of ALT/CTRL quickslot modifiers. It's utter bullcrap to get rid of that capability. I hate games that use the method you're planning on using. It's very, very limiting, clumsy, and cumbersome, forcing people to try and remember what stuff is on what quickbar and which slot it is.<hr />It's a good thing you aren't prone to overreacting!
Okay, now let me tell you how things are.
The quickbar (also know as the hotbar to some) buttons are ACTIVATED by pressing numbers 1 through '='. We are NOT using the function keys to activate them, That was the old NWN1 way.
To rapidly switch between multiple quickbars (or hotbars) you simply hold down shift and press 1 through '=' to switch to that quickbar (or hotbar as some know it). You can also use these little up and down buttons to cycle through your quickbars.
If you are going to try and tell me that THAT is harder to use than NWN1, then I am not going to believe you. The shift key is CLOSER to the number keys than the CTRL or ALT key is AND the number keys are closer than the function keys.
More: <hr />Or maybe explain that in your testing of the GUI, the pluses and minuses and how you arrived at the decision that the combo keystroke was needed.<hr />We are using the same setup many other successful games are using.
Once again, function keys are NOT being used to activate the buttons on the hotbar (or quickbar).
