NWN was a failure (http://nwn.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=477240&post=4075766&forum=42&highlight=)
Yea, about 3 million units sold, 2 expansions, several premium modules, 2,927,165 Users in the community, still on the shelves of most stores today, nearly 4 years after release, still in the top 10 games online played on gamespy each week and > 4750 modules downloadable at the vault - not to mention hundreds of gameworlds, thousands of art related downloads and a crapload of Awards (http://nwn.bioware.com/about/awards.html).

A failure of colossal proportions indeed. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Let's also not forget the insane number of visists and forum contributions to nwn.bioware.com each day - likely making it one of largest game community site out there. It doesn't look like these people are coming here out of hate or because the game was a huge failure.

If you see the game as a failure, which is your right, I would start examining your expectations in this case - because by the parameters generally used measure success for a game, NWN was a long lasting success for us, commercially and critically.

If you thought the game would be BG III, I can understand your disappointment - but there was enough informtion about the game, including numerous screenshots and videos clearly showing of things like the character models (especially Trolls), long time before release.

Did I mention trolls already? I like trolls. Especially Trolls without any badges. You should like them too.

More: <hr />The major failure of NWN for me was not being able to control a full party. I still cannot believe this was not implemented. <hr />You meant to say 'one of my major complaints with NWN' I assume http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

<hr />The time spent on the worthless henchmen AI could have went into the lines of code to allow us to manually control them.<hr />We always need skilled programmers, especially ones with such indepth insight into the game development process as you are displaying with that statement. Please visit http://jobs.bioware.com immediately and submit a resume. Thank you.

More: <hr />Naturally there are only 10 spots up there, so this isn't a huge issue for me http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif

We are aware of the situation at hand, I assure you. What will be done about it, however, I do not know. I am not one of the people involved in that decision.

Considering how busy things are at work lately, and the current Easter holidays that people will be spending with their families, it will probably take a little time.

I know it's not easy, especially for people that feel they should have been in the winning top five selection, but I humbly request that you have patience while a decision is made.
