Horses ? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=495731&post=4300670&forum=95&highlight=)
I think we should add a new weapon stance for hobbyhorses.

More: <hr />Tis disappointing, especially when Bethesda manages to push out an array of different rideable horses all with different speed and health ratings. And when horses were announced as a game feature, hell, nearly as soon as the game itself was announced. Don't look for horsies anytime this decade from these people. They can't do it...<hr />Horses were useful in Oblivion because they had enormous streaming environments. You can't attack from horseback in Oblivion or really do anything other than simply ride from point to point. I liked it in Oblivion, but I think people would want a bit more out of riding in a D&D game, especially one where environments are relatively small.

When IronPython reaches maturity, will the Toolset be written in that? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com//forums/viewpost.html?topic=494583&post=4300804&forum=100&highlight=)
I assure you all that if we thought that we could write a better, faster, more feature rich game engine in less time by switching to some other language, we would.

Learning a new language is, in the grand scheme of things, a pretty small barrier.

The performance of interpreted language is simply too poor.

As for the idea that event driven apps spend most of their time waiting for input anyways... well... maybe thats true of a word processor or database app, but I couldnt imagine a videogame where even a single millisecond is spent just waiting for input (certainly not NWN2).
