<hr />Yeah, the "typical answer"...perhaps they need to work on thier customer service skills...why not just say something like "we are not sure yet" or a guess like "in a month or so"...just plain bad manners and does not make me want to look at further products if this is how they treat thier customers questions.<hr />"When it's done" is concise, sincere, and indicative of our commitment to quality. Since we cannot and will not give a definite release date (or even a tentative one) when we are not certain of it, we believe that "when it's done" is a much better response than "we're not sure" or "in a month or so."
"We're not sure" implies that there is a vague release date range that we could aim for or one that is likely, but we just haven't narrowed it down yet. It's also a very vague, noncommital statement. In our history of interaction with the community, we prefer to be as open and honest as we can without being patronizing or insincere.
"In a month or so" is even more specific, and when we can't or won't give a release date, this response does the opposite of what we want. This one is also problematic because when we say "in a month or so," most people read it as "one month, for sure, no matter what, we'd stake our reputation on it" and are very upset when it doesnt' come out in a month. As you may no doubt have seen, we try to avoid specific release dates whenever possible.
<hr />Quote: As for you who said "...to the point" try removing your lips from their backside with hot water. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_biggrinno.gif<hr />And you should try to refrain from judging the same people who are trying to help you or answer your questions. Being rude to fellow community members is never helpful.
The community is not and should not be a binary affair. It's not a fanboi vs. troll, black and white community. It is possible to agree with BioWare's position or enjoy its games without liking the company itself, just as it is possible to hate everything about BioWare except for Hordes of the Underdark under patch 1.67.
There's nothing wrong with either opinion, as everyone has their own and we encourage that. Just don't be breaking the forum rules while making those opinions known. Thank you for your questions and comments, and if you wish to continue discussion of path 1.69, please use the thread (http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=543009&forum=42) already open on the front page.

Methinks I should check up on this forum more often...
