<hr />One of the causes of this problem is the amount of free disk space available. Saved games are quite large in NWN 2 and need to be managed by the player or you can easily fill a hard drive.<hr />Yep.. that's the most common cause.
What version of the game are you running?

But have you ever tried making sure you read ALL of the posts on the board? My eyes bleed after a couple hours.

I try to answer if I feel it's necessary, but I also read way more threads than I contribute to.

<hr />Has a solution been found for the bug that makes it so you can't have lloth as a deity with a drow cleric? I was forced to pick another deity upon leveling up (lloth was my original) Is there a console command to let you change deities? sorry this is in the wrong forum, I had it bookmarked on the builders....<hr />Josh Sawyer pointed this out to us the other day. It's too late to get it into the 1.04 patch, but should be fixed in 1.05.

I was pointed to this thread to try to help you through this issue. I see so far that you have tried going back to a prior save, but I am unclear if you have tried to go back to a save before your last save. Sometimes the saves have some corruption which causes the failure in the transition.
It looks like you have tried this on beta 1.04, but have you tried using the save prior to your last save on 1.04?
You also say you have a lot of disk space, but just to clarify, is that the drive that your MyDocuments folder is on?
I apologize for all the questions, but I need to be sure what I am dealing with before I have you ripping the guts out of your computer prematurely. Which can be its own form of fun, actually.
