Are you kidding me guys? 1.04 and I get THIS?! (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=546037&post=4786117&forum=109&highlight=)
Well, now that the debate is dying down, let me just say there is a hotfix in the works for these issues and a couple other things we noticed.

Sometimes, after QA, things still get broken. This game is pretty big and, like everything, mistakes will happen. Some fixes cause new issues.

Sometimes we also have to make the decision to release patches with C- and D-level bugs intact to help those people that are having more difficult issues.

My thanks for your understanding.

More: Ok.. I misunderstood something...

The menu items will not be fixed with the hotfix due to localization issues. They will be fixed in 1.05. The hotfix will cover other fixes to the 1.04 patch.

The ominous black box is for the Drive Camera Mouse Behavior.

The options are:

1. Do Nothing
2. Turn Character
3. Move & Turn Character.

Sorry for the confusion on this.

So...

Are you saying we still disappointed you by not meeting your expectations of disappointment? http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif

More: I don't think so either.. My post is meant to be a joke.

Double checking about last patch (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=546397&post=4786600&forum=109&highlight=)
1.04 is not the last patch to be released.

"Final" just means it is the final version of the build - meant for release.

interior door crap (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=546241&post=4786617&forum=113&highlight=)
Not sure, but did you bake your interior?

Kobolds? KOBOLDS?! (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=546412&post=4787081&forum=109&highlight=)
It looks like you have something in your override directory. Remove that file and things should be ok.

Strange 1.04 Happenings (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=546438&post=4787086&forum=116&highlight=)
That usually means the dummies would have a visual effect associated with them either through the VFX appearance setting, assigned via script or in a Special Ability where the VFX is actually missing.

If you can figure out what it is in your case, please let me know. These are difficult to track down sometimes.

Attack combat animations... (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=546415&post=4787883&forum=109&highlight=)
I'll just restate what has been said in many, many threads before...

The animations and the "lack" of animations were design and technical decisions. For the design part, in the early levels your character will not have much movement as they are not knowledgeable in combat. As they gain levels, their moves change and become more animated. Low levels will see them standing around trading blow for blow. Hogher levels will see them spinning and jumping.

On the technical side, we chose to do less animation due to a restriction of the game engine. The way the engine works, if we added more animations you would lose attacks as the six second round would cut off your actions. So, rather than cheat the player, we have implemented a less flashy system, but more fair to you in the end.
