Attack combat animations... (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=546415&post=4800602&forum=109&highlight=)
Yes, we're still watching.

For one of the previous posters, it is not so much that we are defending the choices we have made for combat animations in as much as just putting them out there and explaining why. There have been posts on this explaining that we were not happy with the way this turned out but, due to time constraints, it is what we had to release.

As far as not commenting, sometimes it is just better to remain silent. I am not going to argue over your opinions. There's no point and it would not turn this list of complaints and insults into a constructive conversation.

As far as changing the animations, I would expect we would work on the larger issues of playability and compatibility first. I am not saying that we will not change the animations or the way combat is handled, just that we have some bigger issues to deal with first.

More: <hr />Which means we know no more than before. A true politicians answer by rob there http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_biggrinno.gif The day we get yes or no answers will be the day I win the lottery http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif<hr />I cannot commit on what I don't have a definate answer for.

I could say yes, and get your hopes up, then if something goes wrong, you will be disappointed again and we come out looking worse than before.

I could say no, then if we come out with something you would be angry because I misled you.

Also, if I said yes, the next logical thing that would happen would be a swarm of "When?". As I don't have anything concrete that would just frustrate you more.

So, see? No matter what route I take, the outcome is not good. There are few things I can say in these forums that will not be taken out of context or misinterpreted. At least with a maybe you can be hopeful. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

We got started late due to some technical difficulties, so we didn't get to field as many questions as we wanted. Overall, we had a great time and hope we were able to answer some of the questions you all might have...<SNIP>

1.04.870 Hotfix Released (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=547573&post=4800824&forum=109&highlight=)
<hr />Thanks! Although I do feel that Stealth not working is more important than hats http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif "Characters in Stealth are still targetable as a black shaded character. In multiplayer other PC's can see you even when failing the check! They just target your shaded black walking figure!"<hr />I think we all agree on that. This is merely a hotfix for what the patch broke.

The schedule as to when things get fixed is a question of resources and difficulty. We aim to have certain fixes in certain patches, but sometimes the fixes are more difficult that expected.

We are working on the stealth issue and hopefully will have a fix in a patch soon.

10 pages is the limit, and a good start. Gonna lock this for now and come back to it later.

I have all of the spell issues in this thread documented and we are already looking through them.
