<hr />The problem is that I cannot surely tell where the problem lies. I *think* you need an opponent directly next to you (i.e. something to hit) and I *think* that it only happens when the weapon has a temporary enchantment on it, but so far could not verify that.<hr />From what I've been told, it's due to how combat-related animations are closely tied to the combat system. In that, you don't want to play any combat-animations outside combat, else Bad Things Happen(tm). And I guess the locking up after a whirlwind counts as a Bad Thing.

I think one fix I discussed with Craig was to do an if into the whirlwind feat code so that if the attacker is not in combat, don't do anything. Not sure if that will work however. But it's one of the things we're looking into.

This should be in the technical support forum, but have you perhaps checked for overheating?
