Okay, there are certain dialogues which seem to exist to place strain on your romance and imply in the dialogue that you are romancing (eg, Phaere, the Slayer). Now it is well known that without a stupid cheat, no woman will ever love a dwarf such as myself. However, in both these incidences Viconia spoke up and threatened to kill me. So, um, why exactly are these dialogues independent of whether you have a romance going or not?

Ok, I can't remember the exact lines but all the Phaere related lines from your romance guide appear without a romance (and some of them do suggest that something is going on between PC and Viccy). Also the line immediately after turning into the slayer when Viccy says something along the lines of "I am impressed by your power, but don't attack me again or I'll kill you", hmm, actually that's not very romantic at all....maybe my frustrated little dwarf read a bit too much into non-romantic lines.
