What will be the limits of NWN2??? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=571251&post=5095924&forum=109&highlight=)
<hr />As for the MP situation of NWN2, it has actually gotten WORSE!. It is now in an abysmal state. I used to see around 400~500 online at this timeframe that I am typing this. I now see only 168.<hr />You may have been seeing a GameSpy glitch. The average number of users online is still about the same.
Problems with World Map after 1.06? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=571483&post=5095939&forum=118&highlight=)
Hey everyone,
I just saw a post saying that people are having problems with world map transitions after 1.06, so I am wondering how widespread this is.
How many of you are seeing this issue?
MP World Map Bug (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=571461&post=5096156&forum=118&highlight=)
Is this issue new with 1.06?
Crash on load after patching to 1.06.973 English (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=569597&post=5095894&forum=116&highlight=)
<hr />i know this is retarded but maybe release another patch call it 1.06.974 and add one thing. i know it is pointless just trying to think outside the box. also rob you told me you have systems that can run it just fine do you have any at your place that can't??????<hr />Nope. We are unable to reproduce any of these startup issues. Makes all of this so much more fun. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif
More: (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=569597&post=5096493&forum=116&highlight=)<hr />I am guessing there is no DEBUG flag we can pass to the executable. I was worried someone might suggest to upgrade to Vista to fix this problem, but I see in another thread that Vista is not immune either.
Was there an update to the SecuRom code that tests for something new? Maybe a bug in a particular vendors DVD drive? Not trying to blame SecurRom .. just grasping at straws. Maybe Ill try swapping DVD players tonight http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_sleep2.gif<hr />Yes, there was an update to SecuRom settings, but SecuRom seems to have only been an issue for a few of you.
Most people we see so far, the issues are mostly related to video drivers, OS Patches, .Net, DirectX, and CD "spoofing" haks/software conflicts.
More: (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=569597&post=5096612&forum=116&highlight=)<hr />I've bought my copy on the very first day (German version, Limited Edition "Lawful Good"), too and it also doesn't run. After trying everything mentioned before I've tryed a no-cd-Patch - and that works for me. As a DM my game has to run and that keeps it going.
So I strongly suggest to investigate the SecuROM-Settings with the first shipped copies.<hr />So an interesting point:
What month did you all buy your copies of the game?
More: (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=569597&post=5097079&forum=116&highlight=) One more thing for you guys to try:
If you have XP Pro, see if you can find anything in your event viewer that may give a clue.
Control Panel > Administration Tools > Event Viewer
The errors you are looking for should be under the application directory.
Is there a fan-site resource package? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=571382&post=5096679&forum=109&highlight=)
Nothing right now, but this is something I would like to do. Time is a bit short for me right now, though, so it won't be soon.
Player events (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=571507&post=5096403&forum=113&highlight=)
So the question has been on the table as to whether we will implement events on players, like we do with NPCs and Creatures.
Unfortunately, this is one of those things we do not think we will be implementing in the foreseeable future. There are just too many other things that have to be done.
This is something we would like to implement though, so perhaps a little down the road, we will look at it again.

Lets say you want a player to just be able to "see" if an npc is alive or dead or undead. currently no way to do that easy. with an onplayer event of onplayerperceive you would be able to script it easily.
currently you have to do something like that with a trigger, scripts, and it still doesn't work perfect.
So for the rogue who just wants to sneek in wittness the state of the NPC and get out with the info, it is difficult to set up that situation. With onplayerevents things like this get easier.<hr />You might want to talk to GrinningFool. I understand he has a workaround for this using heartbeat scripts.
Toolset issues with 1.06 final (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=569226&post=5096152&forum=113&highlight=)
For you guys having problems erasing grass, please make sure you have updated the following:
1. OS Patches
2. Video Drivers
3. Direct X
4. .Net
I apologize if this seems basic, but we seem to be receiving a lot of error reports from people that have one or more of these things very much out of date.

Toolset is still crashing when deleteing grass http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif
I started watching what was happening to my RAM usage while deleteing (don't know if this helps or not, it is just an observation)
with toolset open and module loaded my mem useage is at 400,000k
with the area open also it goes to 650,000k
When deleting grass the memory usage went up by around 150,000k - 200,000k with each delete. So by the 3rd delete(which crashed the toolset) I was over 1gig mem usage from the toolset.
don't know if that helps, but it is at least a bit more info.
System specs:
Windows XP Pro
E6600
2Gigs Ram
nvidia 8800GTX (Asus card)<hr />But if you create a new area, put down some grass, then delete the grass you don't get any crashes?
