Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault (http://nwvault.ign.com). What will be the limits of NWN2??? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=571251&post=5097622&forum=109&highlight=)
<hr />So you are saying that under 200 is a Gamespy glitch (or basically half of the actual numbers)?

At the moment, for example, it has climbed up to 246. Normally, at this time, it would be around 526 or so.

Now, some of it is probably due to the Sommertime "hole" - NWN used to suffer from this as well, if I recall correctly (or this glitch you are talking about).

May I ask how these numbers could be affected by Gamespy, so that they are not accurate (too low)?

In all the years of NWN, this is the first time I have heard of a Gamespy glitch of this nature. I remember times when the Master Server could not authenticate things - happens often enough (and is rather concerning to PW Admins, btw).<hr />Sorry, missed your response WebShaman.

There are errors with Gamespy all the time. As an example: there was a period of 6 days (February 6 - 12th) that the numbers didn't get updated and continued to report the same numbers as for the 5th. There have also been times when the numbers you see are much lower than you know what they really are.

I don't think it's inherently bad, except when people hang their fates and the fate of a game on these stats. It's the nature of internet applications.

How would you make the toolset more user friendly? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=571593&post=5097631&forum=113&highlight=)

We did a lot of work on the base actions of the DM client.

A lot of this will change with the 1.07 patch.

Players Patch Suggestions (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=571609&post=5098234&forum=109&highlight=)
<hr />Suggested Improvments to NWN 2:
Note: I tried for hours upon hours to find a forum for this. In the end i started my own. Feel free to move my thred in case there already is one.

These suggestions (to me at least) are improvments to the game that i havnet read about anywhere else on the net, and as such i wanted the Obsidian team to ackknowledge it for coming patches, then they can dump it or take it to them, whichever prefered.<hr /><hr />1. Able ”Commands” to be dragged to the action bar. This is a time sink, witch more often then not forces players to pause the game. <hr />Which commands? Do you mean the voice commands? I believe you can do that from the V menu, though I may be wrong.

<hr />2. ”Show all Name Tags” on/off so u can choose if you want them up at all time. This could also be linked to ”inspection” and then a choise for having ”Inspection” on or off or keybound.<hr />Noted.

<hr />3. Show Name tags in the color of difficulty. This and the one above is by far the biggest time sink in the game as of now. I understand the reason behind using ”examine” to learn more about a each individual and it worked in NWN 1, but NWN 1 was a much faster game. And NWN 2 would do better with some boosts to improve unnessary slow downs/pauses. Also, ”examine” would still tell a whole lot of each individual. Getting a fast generall idea of who is dangerous and who´s not on the battlefield would remove LOT of unnecssary pausing. <hr />Been in since 1.05, I believe

<hr />4. A button+scroll for auto scrolling to bottom (or top) in chat window immediatly, suggested: shift+scroll.<hr />Noted.

<hr />5. Mouse-Scrollable Area Map, with a much higher overlook, like scrolling out so you can see the whole map area. Switch the – and + to affect the size of the Boundraries of the area map, like in NWN 1. A lot of time, i like to have Area Map open to have an idea of where im going. As of now, it´s taking up a whole lot of space doing that.<hr />Just to be clear: do you mean the minimap in the upper left or the area map that comes up when you hit the M key?

<hr />That's ok Kris, to read some posters' revisionist history these days, we never released anything for either game. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif<hr />Well you better get on the ball then! http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Do other people have the same problem with your maps?

Crash on load after patching to 1.06.973 English (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=569597&post=5098222&forum=116&highlight=)
Yeah, I'm thinking it's not the batch of disks or timing of them - the fact that someone has a downloaded version makes that pretty clear.

Keep those DXDiags coming.

When you guys uninstall for your tests, make sure you are manually deleting everything in the Program FilesAtari folder that has to do with NWN2, after the uninstall completes.

More: (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=569597&post=5100228&forum=116&highlight=) By far, the vast majority of people we have gotten DX Diags from have NVIDIA 7xxx series video cards. If you are having this issue and you do not have an NVIDIA 7xxx series video card (and have not sent in your DX Diag), please send me your DX Diag report.

More: (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=569597&post=5100325&forum=116&highlight=) E-mail sent to those that have sent me their DXDiags. The e-mail contains a link to download some test .exes and supporting files.

Please let me know how it goes.
