Minormatt-
I dont see how me not understanding the problem has anything to do with fixing it. The only exception to that logic is if theres some sort of catastrophic event that permanently incapacitates the developer. This "bug" is far from a catastrophic event though.
Think of it this way. If it took a mechanic half a month to simply diagnose a problem with your car wouldn’t you suspect that there's something wrong with the situation? Me not understanding cars would have nothing to do with that analysis, because I know from experience that it shouldn’t take that long. The same goes for this game and this bug. I may not completely understand the bug but I do know from playing online games for over 10 years that this is quite possibly the worst bug ive ever seen.
This bug is a lot like when you take your car to a mechanic, complaining of a problem, only to find out the problem doesn't occur for the mechanic. So we have to rely on the users. It would be the equivalent of talking a car owner through diagnosing their problem over the phone. So we experiment by putting different engines in different cars (different game executables sent out to different users).

Them not being able to duplicate the problem only means that they’re poorly equipped with testing technology. If their testing is this bad why not just let players test it for them? Most players would gladly do it for free.

Actually it means that we don't have the millions of different hardware and software combinations that are possible in our office. We also have an IT department and they keep our computers in good working order. We also have policies against downloading software and files from the internet, so our computers are in much better shape than the average user's.

Im not sure why so many of you support and defend the company so much. Its not like its a mom and pop company, its a cold hearted corporation with the sole purpose of gaining profits.
I hate to break it to you, but that mom and pop shop is in business solely for the purpose of making money as well. I can also tell you that we here at Obsidian are not the money-grubbing leaches you think us to be. We are mostly passionate about making games, not money. But without profits, we cannot fund development as the profit from game A goes to funding the development of game B.

We being the consumers have the right to get what we demand from them, otherwise we can boycott. They should be the ones that are afraid, not the other way around.
I didn't realize you were afraid of us. If that's the case, then I apologize. No relationship should be based on fear. Demands don't usually work. They're usually rude and, as such, don't get much weight. Polite requests work wonders though.

Hopefully a hot fix within the next couple days. Since it must be installed by everyone, it has to go through the same processes as a patch.
Yes, this is delaying 1.07 slightly.

One question: why you don´t make return from NWN 1 the ModCHA, ModINT and so on. They modified the current stat by its number:
ModSTR 2, increases Strength 2 points.
ModSTR -2, decreases Strength 2 points.
This may happen later, but we had so much to do, we had to choose.
Will we see Obsidian at E3? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=571986&post=5126029&forum=121&highlight=)

The hotfix has not been released yet. It is in QA and should be out this week, barring any more problems.
