HOT FIX FOR 1.06 STARTUP CRASH AVAILABLE (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=573982&post=5129284&forum=116&highlight=)
<hr />Although many people keep saying you people from Obsidian are useless thralls... <hr />meh. We're used to it.
Besides, we're rubber and they're glue...

More: (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=573981&post=5131217&forum=109&highlight=) There were a few issues being reported before, not all of them had to do with SecuRom. Those people that this fix did not help, you probably have one of the other issues, that confused the troubleshooting efforts.
Send me a PM if you are still having start-up crashes.
Things you would like to see in NWN 2 (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=572138&post=5131222&forum=109&highlight=)
<hr /><hr />This would require a total re-do of the game. I think you will have to wait for an NWN3 or its replacement for this.<hr />Is this entirely true?
I thought that walking behind trees and the like caused them to disappear or become transparent. Couldn't the same concept be used for placeable buildings?<hr />You cannot have overlapping walkmeshes, so you would not be able to have multiple-story buildings. Also, the more complicated a walkmesh is, the more chance you have of baking issues. Imagine adding all the little details inside a building to an external area.
Tw0 small (?) requests (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=574090&post=5131253&forum=109&highlight=)
You can take the delay down to one-tenth of a second.

Right-click allows you to select a creature or object without acting on it.
Left-Click performs the default action.

Multiplayer priorities (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=574099&post=5131308&forum=118&highlight=)
PWC files will probably never go away. So, with that in mind, the problem then becomes how to get the PWC files to the player in the easiest and least intrusive manner.
There are many ways to approach this and, of course, the most preferable ways are also the most complicated ways and would require a lot of big changes to the client.
Will we see Obsidian at E3? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=571986&post=5131317&forum=121&highlight=)
I don't know what our plans are for that. I think a lot of people are waiting to see how it goes there.
NWN2.com Community Feedback (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=562301&post=5131362&forum=109&highlight=)
<hr />This is a question more for a moderator than anyone else.
I've been sending the same bug report in to nwn2bugs since February, and I've posted in other topics, trying to get some relatively minor bugs fixed. To date, no replies and no fixes.
How do I go about getting someone at Obsidian take notice so these bugs can be fixed? Email to nwn2bugs isn't doing jack.
Thanks!<hr />If you feel your issue isn't being addressed, you can always PM me with it.

From alot of fan reaction initially it was not a hit. NOw about a year on still not hearing much positives. I am a multiplayer gamer so don't care for the OC, more concerned about the Server based playing.
DO you still have to down load huge walkmeshes when you play?
Has playability improved since first release and compared to NWN1?
Is it a stable game?
Any answers would be great.<hr />This is off topic for this thread. Please feel free to start a topic in the general forums, or browse through there. There are a lot of topics already in existence on this.
Building a Server: NWN or NWN2? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=574041&post=5129659&forum=118&highlight=)
Hi Numos,
Reading through your post, it really does sound like you have made up your mind already.
Stealth is fixed in the next patch, but that doesn't really seem to be what your issue is. I think no matter what people post here, supportive or not, you seem pretty sure of what course you are going to take.
Either way, I hope you have fun with whatever game you decide on.
More: (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=574041&post=5131512&forum=118&highlight=) If I were having to make the choice of what game to build a PW with, I would choose NWN2.
I know that it will take many months of design and building no matter what game I choose. I also know that in that time there will be a lot of changes. Building a PW requires me to look to the future.
While I loved playing on NWN1, I know I couldn't go back to it now. The environments, even with all the haks, seem boring to me. I also know that there is only one official patch left for NWN1, while there is continued support an at least one expansion in the future for NWN2.
One of the other things I would be thinking about is that Obsidian has this really cool guy named Rob that fights for the community. He reads our forum posts filled with complaints and suggestions and pushes for the fixes and improvements that the community asks for. That Rob really is a cool guy and humble too.
