Prestige classes and their effect upon the NWN2 world (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=574221&post=5138460&forum=109&highlight=)
No matter what, what you guys are asking for would take forever to implement.

What I see people asking for in this thread is special content for every race, class, prestige class, gender and alignment.

Try to do this once in a Single Player mod that you make, then come back and tell me how fun that was. Take a mod the size of "Tradgedy", let alone the size of the OC, and implement special content and NPC reactions for all that stuff, then tell me how easy it is.

If someone can make a mod of that size with all the paths that take those things into account - so that each player basically gets a different experience, make it enjoyable and playable, I'd be surprised.

But I do believe you said that if you did it, it wouldn't be fun to play. That's what I definitely have to disagree on.<hr />I still stand by that. Unless you Roleplay a character that hides his identity and whatnot, your world would be very limited - and that would not be fun.

A Necromancer, Pale Master, Dragon Disciple, etc. probably wouldn't be welcome in the city of Neverwinter. Yes, there are seedier areas you can go into, but even there, the people have a sense of morality that would still rail at some of the darker characters.

Now obviously, this is my own opinion and you are free to make any world where the inhuman and the depraved are welcomed by the populace. But to me, while I enjoy playing evil from time to time, I am aware of the consequences of my actions and am not disappointed when, upon reaching a certain level of notoriety, the world would have to start working against me.

And the many PWs that I worked on (including my own) was way bigger and more complex than the NWN2 OC.

So be surprised, because it has been done many, many times already - why don't you check out some of the more scripted RP servers from NWN?<hr />You will have to point out the mods to me. As far as I have seen, people have only used the variables in dialog that allows you to do something like "One day you will be a well-known [insert class here]. Until then, you are just a [insert gender], like everyone else." Which is not what everyone was talking about in this thread.

As I read this thread, I saw requests for deeper reactions. Things that would require quite a bit of scripting to have entirely different conversations and situations depending on the many factors. Entire gameplay changes depending on the situation.

It's not impossible to do, just very time consuming.

Plea concerning inventory... (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=574655&post=5138827&forum=121&highlight=)
You can already double-click on items and they will be equipped.

Is this not working for you?

<hr />Warning: this vid has spoilers.

From what he was saying, it sounds like they might force mouse-move on us. That can't be, can it?<hr />I am not super familiar with the control changes. I am going to be checking them out this weekend.

WASD is available in Character (over-the-shoulder) mode and, I believe, it can be handled in key bindings in the Strategic mode.

(They didn't like my idea of forcing everyone to use a trackball and light gun)

Could we have race focus sticky discussion too? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=574653&post=5139238&forum=109&highlight=)
<hr />On second thought, I guess you are right. I would've just liked to hear opinions about the level adjustment races and generally any other race than humans. Are they worth playing really. I mean, the drow are supposed to be feared because they are powerfull, but PC drow get asskicked by anyone due to LA. I do consider spell resistance and greater attributes powerfull, but LA is veryvery big penalty.<hr />Feel free to start topics.

Building a Server: NWN or NWN2? (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=574041&post=5142499&forum=118&highlight=)
<hr />For PW and MP, definitely NWN.

It is a no contest at this point.

The numbers speak plainly for themselves.

Hopefully, in the years ahead, NWN2 will become a contender - that would be nice.<hr />Is it just me, or does this seem like a circular argument? Don't play NWN2 MP, because fewer are playing. But send them to NWN1 and make sure not to increase the NWN2 numbers. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif

No offense meant, WebShaman. It just seemed funny to me.

Yeah. No options are really being taken out with the new control modes - they're just being consolidated and it should be easier to switch between them since there are only two. Also, it'll remember your options between them, so if you want to switch you won't have to reset all your options for character and strategy mode.

The black-and-whitish shot is not Thaymount... but it *is* an in-game shot. Not Photoshopped. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
