Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault (http://nwvault.ign.com). Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

The former. As I understand it, in the, what, five plus years this game has been out, no one's come even close to adding quickslots. The good folks at bioware have stated that they're pretty much stuck on this one as well.
That's correct, any sort of GUI change is extremely unlikely at this moment. But as mentioned, you can use the BioDB and NWScript to make a custom buff rod, or add it as a wizard instant feat.

Quote: Does that mean this G thing is expensive or somethin'? How expensive can a bloody keyboard get?
You can find it in stores for like $70 in some places. I have it and it's an awesome keyboard.

Would 7zip be an option, as compression utility? It is an open source utility, and has currently the best algorithm around, especially good with text files like NWN models.
I'm less concerned about what specific program to use but more focused on making sure it does what I want:
- sync the contents of the folder/hak to the authoritive server's, so a fast checksum/MD5/whatever comparison is required (simply comparing by datestamp won't do)
- and CLEAN the old contents out
- Sync the portraits and TLK folders (but not delete the files).
- pack the contents up into a MOD/HAK/ERF
- Refresh the main HAK contents with the incremental update HAKs contents periodically to keep it clean. This is where the compression comes in, have a command for downloading the full HAKs as ZIPs and overwrite the existing ones (with adequate warnings).
I'm going to look at Worldgate in a bit however, it seems to do much of this, but I want to pick tanita's brain but she hasn't popped up on IRC lately.
And I intend on compiling the NWN ASCII models to binaries eventually to speed up load times. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
