Surprises. Granny (Expotron) and the Dedicated Server Released!
More: (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=558935&post=5199464&forum=109&highlight=) So a small issue with the Granny plugin has surfaced - There appears to be a conflict with Max 9 (we use an earlier version due to some middleware).
We think we have a good idea what the problem is, but I don't want to post anything more and have someone screw up their computer. I'll post more as we know it.

For the time being, the Granny (Expotron) plugin is compatible with Max 7 and 8.
Community fixes Vs Obsidian patching (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=579184&post=5199951&forum=109&highlight=)
<hr />Monthly patches, the cure to pessimism.<hr />Monthly patches = 1 week to code, three weeks to test - or at the best 2 weeks to code and 2 weeks to test.
I think the patches would contain very little in the way of anything if that were the case. Maybe like one medium-sized or two small fixes.
The other option would be to go a lot of months without patching at all in order to stockpile a collection of patches so that we are developing well ahead of the patches. This would mean beta tests wouldn't happen and the community requests would pretty much be removed from the equation.
Mask of The Betrayer will be at GenCon (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=579582&post=5200190&forum=109&highlight=)
For those of you attending GenCon next week, Obsidian will be there demonstrating the Mask of The Betrayer Expansion and answering questions.
Also, if you haven't noticed yet, the Granny Animation Plugin (Expotron) and the stand-alone dedicated server applications have been released! Check out the link to the Community Update in my sig for more details.
A pleading poem... (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=579544&post=5199718&forum=109&highlight=)
For the crashes on transition
We're aware of your plight
In order to fix it
We've stayed many a night.
But the patch we have kicked
to the devs for repairs
before putting it out broken
and losing our hairs
This won't stop all problems
Since there's too many a chance
for things to go wrong
and start up more rants
But we're working as fast
and as hard as we can
To get things all fixed up
for PW land

It's not fixed in 1.07.
We are working on it for a very soon, but future patch.

It was actually made as a demo for toolset users. Technically, it is not part of the NWN2 campaign - the PC is not intended to be the shard-bearer. (That's why Pitney doesn't mention the incident when you meet him at the fair.)

One solution might be to create a custom version of playermenu_popup.xml with the world map button removed.
