Well, it's the age old dilemma...

I'm sure I'm no different that everyone else, I simply LOVE it when you guys say 'you're close' or 'almost there' or 'it's in testing' or 'soon' or even better 'very soon'...

Yet, it's agonizing when weeks stretch by and I wonder if I truly know the meaning of those words...

Hmmm, I'll get a dictionary, it'll give me something to do while I wait patiently... http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif Perhaps I should look that word up too...

Javaslinger
Thus why we (and me in particular) hate giving any kind of timeframe for anything. There are any number of issues that can crop up that can turn a soon into a shortly. http://forums.bioware.com/_commonext/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

If anyone should be able to use the infamous "when its done" line, it should be us (the community) that have to work off spare time and pure motivation, not the publishers or game designers that we pay for their products and services.

I understand a lot of testing, working and communication goes into such things, but when the community is putting out quicker work arounds than you are fixes, I begin to wonder what is really going on.
This patch is vital to the community as it fixes a lot (or it was supposed to with 1.06) of MP issues, as well as gives us a more stable DMC. Without it, the online community is at a virtual standstill as our work arounds only go so far to post pone these things.

In all respects to the offline community, I dont know why so much focus went into fixing the SP aspect of this game since the demographics and statistics showed that NWN1 was mainly an online game as that was the source that made it thrive.
I can only hope that these words of "its in testing" "itll be done soon" are actually fufilled, for I like many other PW creators and mod teams have been patiently waiting for something that should of been done with the launch of the game, and has yet to be delivered to us.

-Ice
Actually, the customer base for NWN1 and NWN2 is by far made up of Single Player, offline players. Inasmuch as it can be said there are ~100 SP players to every PW or MP player.

And, as far as the patching process goes: we can release each and every little fix and feature separately, like the community does, but I would say that would slow the entire process tremendously. Look at the number of fixes and features in just one of our patches and compare that to the number of fixes and features released by the community on the vault. And, take into consideration, that the number of community people that have released those things on the vault outnumber our team.

So, while your anger may be warranted in some cases, it is a bit misguided here.

I suppose this is just a fundamental difference between Bioware and Obsidian.
I know I am going to regret this, but what difference?

I remember actually complaining about this game's launch and the patch support process...then I bought Bioshock.
Give them a chance. The game just came out.

Scripted Waypoints (http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewpost.html?topic=512800&post=5227810&forum=114&highlight=)
Check out the comment field of each to see what they do. None of these relate to scripted waypoints. To create WalkWayPoints, right click on a creature and select "Create Waypoint".
